As a beloved boy band member, Donnie Wahlberg is all too familiar with swooning fans. As famous as he is with New Kids On The Block—and from his long-running role on Blue Bloods—the 55-year-old actor and singer isn’t beyond the same behavior when it comes to his favorite musical acts.
On Saturday, April 12, Donnie and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, attended the final show of Carrie Underwood’s Reflection Las Vegas Residency. The next day, the couple commemorated the experience on Instagram with a snap of them alongside Carrie herself.
“Thank you @carrieunderwood for an epic night. Your amazing talent leaves us in awe every time,” Jenny McCarthy captioned a photo of herself and Donnie with Carrie in the middle.
“Thank you so much for coming to see us last night,” Carrie responded in the comments.
Meanwhile, fans flooded the photo with an array of comments. “Invite her for a collab with NKOTB,” one fan suggested. “She looks like your daughter, beautiful family pic,” someone else wrote. “The ladies look like twins,” another Instagrammer commented.
Those who were less thrilled with the post were focused on Carrie’s public political stance and the assumption that Donnie and Jenny must be aligned if they’re friends.
Living in today’s day and age, it’s difficult for conversations not to get political. In some instances, though, it really doesn’t need to become the topic of focus, and in Donnie and Jenny’s comments, there were quite a few fans who pointed that out.
All in all, politics aside, we love to see some of our favorite stars supporting each other in their careers.
