Why is Law & Order: Organized Crime no longer on NBC?

Even though it may seem odd for Law & Order: Organized Crime to be the only show from the Law & Order franchise to switch where it airs, there's a good reason behind the move. When Jeff Bader, President of Programming Planning Strategy at NBCUniversal Entertainment spoke to TVLine in May 2024, he shared hopes that the strategy would make the show even more successful than it already was on NBC.

"Organized Crime is a very successful show; this isn't a show that was on the bubble," he stated at the time. "It's a show that works across the board, and it's very, very strong on streaming. [Moving Season 5 to Peacock] is a win-win for us – 80% of its viewing isn't in the time period where we schedule it, it's delayed on Peacock, so it just made sense to move that to free up the time period."

This makes sense to us! And even though it's no longer airing on NBC, at least fans still get to see new episodes of Law & Order: Organized Crime.
