Update: April 16, 2025:

It's been months since Today viewers last saw Sheinelle Jones appear in Studio 1A. While it's unclear exactly when she'll make her return to daytime TV, her co-hosts are sharing a new update on the matter.

The TV host has been off the air since December 2024, and Sheinelle revealed in January 2025 that she needed time away in order to deal with a family health matter. Even though she's kept quiet on the reason behind her absence beyond that, Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer had something to say about their friend an co-worker's current whereabouts.

While speaking with Access Hollywood for an interview posted on April 12, the trio shared they've been in touch with Sheinelle as she takes care of her personal matter. What's more, they all are hopeful she'll reappear on the Today show sometime soon.

"Just talked to her a couple of days ago," Craig revealed in a clip uploaded on YouTube. "She's taking some time to be with her family, and we talk to her all the time. We love our girl. It's been nice to see how much everyone loves her, too."

"We're just praying for her," Al added.

"She wishes she was here with us, but she's doing what she needs to do and she'll be back," Dylan agreed.

When fans realized Craig, Al and Dylan shared a hopeful update about Sheinelle returning to the Today show, they were so happy to hear it.

"I miss seeing Sheinelle on the show," one person wrote in the YouTube comments. "I love you Sheinelle, miss you girl take care of yourself and your family sending PRAYERS UP 🙏," another penned. "Sending out healing energy and blessings for whoever," a different follower added.

Fans may remember Sheinelle first began her time on the Today show back in 2014 as part of Weekend Today. She eventually became a co-host on Today's third hour in January 2019, where she remained until this unexpected time away.

We're thinking of Sheinelle and her family!
