Sound the alarms Brooke Shields fans! The actress is officially returning to TV, and she's teaming up with a creator she's already familiar with for the incredible new project.
Fans of the actress may remember the last time we saw her act was in the 2024 Netflix romcom Mother of the Bride. Well, now she's getting back in front of the camera, but this time she's taking on the world of mystery. As TVLine announced on April 7, Brooke is teaming up with Acorn TV to star in a brand-new crime drama called Allie & Andi. Set to premiere in 2026, the actress is also getting back to her When Calls the Heart roots by teaming up with season 10 showrunner Robin Bernheim for the show.
Soon after the news broke, Acorn TV celebrated the collaboration with Brooke on Instagram. "We're thrilled to announce that @brookeshields will be joining the Acorn TV family in the all-new murder mystery series Allie & Andi, set to premiere in 2026," read the caption.
When folks realized they'd get to see Brooke back on their TV screens, it caused a frenzy of excitement online.

Fans may remember Brooke has headlined multiple shows throughout her decades-long career. She famously starred in Suddenly Susan from 1996 to 2000, and she also played the lead role in Lipstick Jungle from 2007 to 2009. She also had multiple guest stints on a plethora of shows, including portraying Charlotte Thornton in season 3 (and potentially season 13) of When Calls the Heart on Hallmark.
As far as what Allie & Andi will be about, Deadline writes that the show will follow a well-known novelist (played by Brooke) as she teams up with an aspiring writer for the ultimate project. What's the agenda? The two must work together to find the killer of someone close to them.
