Sullivan's Crossing is almost back ... but it looks like the show may have given away a massive clue ahead of season 3.
The CW drama is returning to TV on May 7, 2025, and fans are thrilled to get back into the swing of things at the Crossing. While the show has made a few surprise announcements along the way (like season 3 airing in the spring rather than its usual fall schedule), folks are ready to see Harry "Sully" Sullivan (Scott Patterson), Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray) and more deal with the trials and tribulations of living in a small town.
Well, viewers got a look at what's in store for the hit series, thanks to a surprise Sullivan's Crossing season 3 trailer posted on Instagram. And if that wasn't enough, the show's social team alluded there are some unexpected scenarios heading our way this go-around on TV.

When fans saw the trailer for an all-new installment of Sullivan's Crossing, many caught one surprising detail. Given how the show ended on a massive season 2 cliffhanger, they were shocked to see Sully's fate be sealed in the clip — and they took to the comments to share their thoughts.
"O M G !!! So this means Sully isn’t dead!!! 🥹🥹 I just knew they wouldn’t kill him off … it wouldn’t be the same w/o Sully!! Love that Maggie is FINALLY opening up to him! 🥰," one person wrote in the comments. "Wait. So Sully is not dead? Spoiler ... ," another noted. "SPOILERS!! But I LOVE IT 🫶," a different follower added.
As fans remember, Sullivan's Crossing season 2 ended with a number of surprises. Amid Maggie being pregnant with her ex Andrew Mathews (Allan Hawco)'s baby, she chose to stay back at the Crossing and start a romance with Cal. Elsewhere, the local diner ends up in a massive fire and explosion ... with Sully possibly inside it during the incident. And this is all happening as he reveals to Lola Gunderson (Amalia Williamson) he's responsible for the car crash that killed her mother a decade before.
Although there's still some time before we get all the tea on Sullivan's Crossing, we can honestly say we're more intrigued than ever before.
