Abbott Elementary fans are not going to be happy about this season 4 news.
The hit ABC series is in the middle of airing its latest installment, and viewers can't get enough of the shenanigans that occur at Abbott Elementary. While the show is super popular, fans got quite a surprise when it was revealed the season 4 finale was airing sooner than expected. Posting a photo of a calendar on Instagram on April 1, Abbott Elementary announced the season 4 finale will air on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
"This is the lineup we care about most this month," read the official caption alongside the image.
When fans realized Abbott Elementary would be ending earlier than they expected, they immediately went to the comments to voice their frustrations.
"I literally don’t know what I’m going to do without new Abbott to cheer me up each week 😩," one person lamented. "What y’all mean season finale 😳??? I’m not ready for school to end yet 😭😭😭 words that i would never say in my life I just said it because Abbott is my favorite school ❤️❤️," another penned. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I need more!!!" someone else wrote.
But fans don't need to worry about the future of Abbott Elementary just yet. Back in January, ABC revealed the show would be back on the air for season 5 in the fall of 2025. What's more, the show had an adorable way of sharing the incredible news.
"Season 5, here we come! 🫡," the show's social team wrote next to a sweet Instagram video montage of the Abbott Elementary students at the time. "Join your favorite staff and students for more #AbbottElementary on ABC and stream on Hulu."
