Today fans don't often get to see Jenna Bush Hager interact with her husband Henry Hager on the air. But this week, we got a surprise when Henry made his talk show debut as a guest co-host on Today With Jenna and Friends.
Before they even got into the show, Jenna took a moment to thank Henry for coming on and supporting her. "I feel so grateful that you would do this for me," she shared in a clip posted on YouTube. "This is way outside your comfort zone, and it just shows how you've showed up for me. So, thank you."
"Well, I love you. I would do anything for you, and I am so proud of you," Henry replied. "I love how we live our lives together. It's been an adventure. You brighten my day and my life all the time, and so, let's just do this and see how it goes."
To which Jenna sweetly replied, "I'm already crying."
Jenna then when on to point out some of the sweet gestures Henry makes to show her just how much he loves and cherishes her.
"I've talked a little bit about how Henry is kind of a romantic in small ways," she added. "I just want to show you what I found on my desk this morning. He drew this little picture — that's us sitting on a bench, and that's the sun rising and it says, 'Let's do this! I love you.'" And I just wanna say for the five men that are watching — little notes like this go a really long way."
Naturally, seeing Jenna and Henry's loving rapport reflected on daytime TV had people in their feelings — and they had to voice their thoughts about it.
"They are adorable! Oh my gosh! Please have him on again. These two are so cute!" one person wrote in the comments. "I love that Henry showed up," another agreed. "What a great couple! Nice to see and hear from Henry. Good choice, Jenna!" a different follower added.
Good choice indeed!
