Kelly Ripa is calling out her husband Mark Consuelos for something major ... well, depending on who you ask.
On the March 24 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the co-hosts got into a discussion about the idea of "hard launching" a relationship on social media. While the concept of officially introducing your romantic partner to your Instagram followers is something that's become commonplace in the last decade, Kelly decided she'd remind Mark of the fact that they never officially did this in their almost three decades of marriage.
"We should hard launch our relationship," Kelly stated in a clip posted on Decider's Instagram. "You know, you and I have never officially done that — even though we've been together since before social media! We should make a hard launch, that we are steady. Instagram makes it real. That's where all the reality happens!"
While Kelly makes some valid points, Mark wasn't exactly convinced. In fact, he tried to give a reason for not wanting to participate in Kelly's surprise request.
"I read this study where they say that the happiest couples don't post pictures of themselves," Mark added.
"Well, then you must be frickin' thrilled," Kelly rebutted.
Now, as fans are well aware, the two love to share moments of their lives off the air on social media. They've documented going on vacation together, attending major Hollywood events, and even sweet milestones for their kids Michael, Lola and Joaquin. And if that's not enough, Kelly and Mark are the stars of their own daytime TV show — that's an impressive hard launch, if you ask us!
Nonetheless, we wouldn't be surprised if Kelly decides to take matters into her own hands and make her romance Instagram official. And we'll be the first to give it a like!
