Jenna Bush Hager is bringing her family around for a big moment at work — and fans will get to see it happen, too!
The Today show host has been welcoming a revolving door of guest hosts for her popular fourth hour segment, Today With Jenna and Friends. While various celebrities and her co-workers have sat alongside her on the air, viewers are begging to see some of Jenna's loved one pop up on TV and be co-hosts, too. Well, in a surprise turn of events, the Today show listened — and Jenna has news fans will be super stoked about.
For the week of March 24, folks will get to see her sister Barbara Pierce Bush, her husband Henry Hager, and her cousins Sam Bush Leblond and Wendy Stapleton appear on the Today show's fourth hour. What's more, Barbara will appear on March 24 and March 25, while Henry will wrap up the week by being Jenna's co-host on March 27 and March 28.
"Y'all have been asking to see @jennabhager's family in the co-hosting chair, and now it's time!" the Today show wrote on Instagram on March 21. "Don't miss family week on #JennaandFriends starting Mon., March 24!"
When fans saw Jenna was bringing the family together for a special week on Today With Jenna and Friends, it was clear they were so excited about the prospect.
"Yessssss. Can’t wait for this!!" one person exclaimed in the comments. "@jennabhager, I’m so excited for this!!! It’s going to be great! 🤩🙌🏽," another declared. "I am beyond excited! Jenna has a most interesting family. This should be fantastic! 👏👏❤️❤️," a different follower added.
Well, we can't wait to see what Jenna's family has to say about this! As for how Barbara (who's about to release a new children's book, called I Loved You First, with Jenna on March 25) is feeling about stepping into the co-hosting shoes, she exclusively told Good Housekeeping her heartwarming reason for agreeing to the gig.
"I have gotten to co-host with Jenna once before, when Hoda [Kotb] was still on," she shared. "I had an absolute blast, but I think I also claimed I was never going to do it again. So, now I'm back and I'm excited. It's obviously really fun to do it together. I said yes to it because I get to do it with my sister."
