Carrie Underwood is in the spotlight as of late, between her music and being the newest American Idol judge. But that doesn't mean she's not making time to enjoy a date night with her husband, Mike Fisher!
The longtime couple was on hand to attend the Opry 100: A Live Celebration in Nashville on March 19, where Carrie performed a touching tribute to country music legend Randy Travis. Instead of it being just a typical work event, Carrie and Mike (who's a former NHL hockey player) decided they'd make this a date night out. And given how the married duo (who wed back in July 2010) are not always seen together on the red carpet, they decided they'd make an exception for a moment like this.
Dressed up in a sheer, one-shouldered black gown, Carrie looked stunning in an ensemble that had gold detailing all over. She wore her blonde hair straight, and she looked flawless in bold eye makeup, rosy cheeks and matching lipstick. For Mike's look, he matched his wife for the occasion by wearing a black suit. Adding a pop of color with a muted light blue shirt, he added a black silk tie to help pull the entire look together.
Don't they look like the picture perfect couple! Fans on Instagram seemed to think so too, as they voiced their comments after seeing photos of Carrie and Mike appear on the social media platform.
"Carrie Underwood Mike Fisher you're so amazing," one person exclaimed. "Carrie and Mike πβ¨," another penned. "Carrie and Mike are the most gorgeous couple π," a different follower added.
As fans may be aware, Carrie and Mike aren't always seen in public together. In fact, the last time the two walked the red carpet was when they attended the 2022 CMA Awards! And when Carrie was asked about why Mike wasn't with her a few months later at the 2023 CMT Awards, she had such a relatable response for his absence.
"My husband's got the kiddos," she explained at the time (per Nicki Swift), referencing the couple's sons Jacob and Isaiah. "He's always holding down the fort while I'm out doing stuff like this."
We so love to see it!
