With Tamron Hall gearing up to launch a new children's book, it's only fair she bring in one of the biggest reading icons to help her promote it!
The daytime TV host's new book Harlem Honey: The Adventures of a Curious Kid is publishing on March 25, 2025, and she has been going all over the country to spread the word.
In a surprise video shared on Instagram on March 15, Tamron played into millennial nostalgia by recruiting actor and former Reading Rainbow host LeVar Burton to film a clip with her. As he urged fans to go pick up a copy with the language he used on the kids TV show, Tamron couldn't stop expressing how incredible this was for her.
"Please order now for a sweet read with a big message for kids," she wrote in the caption. "By the way, I still can't believe this happened. Flashback core memory. Thank you, @levar.burton, for uplifting children around the world."
When fans saw that Tamron teamed up with LeVar for a heartfelt book promotion, they were absolutely ecstatic seeing the epic moment.
"@levar.burton πβ€οΈ We just adore Mr. Reading π Rainbow!" one person wrote. "I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! Two of my faves!!! Congratulations @tamronhall β€οΈ," another exclaimed. "Heβs the best! πππ," a different follower added.
As folks may remember, LeVar was the host of Reading Rainbow from 1983 until 2006. The show was intended to instill a love of reading in children nationwide, and the program won 26 Emmy Awards during its run. What's more, when LeVar appeared on The Tamron Hall Show back in October 2024, Tamron shared how he was part of the inspiration for her new children's book.
"Reading Rainbow has always been a North star for me," she explained at the time. "We've been working secretly behind the scenes, me and Moses [Tamron's son], on something that you helped inspire β my first children's book."
We absolutely love to see it!
