Andrea Bocelli isn't always one to get personal about his journey in music — but he took the time to pen a heartfelt message about the mindset that got him to where he is today.

The Italian singer has been in the music industry for over 30 years, and he continues to put out new albums and perform all over the world. But his success didn't come without obstacles, which include Andrea becoming completely blind at age 12. Nonetheless, he wanted to share how inner strength and determination manifested into the life he's currently living — and he did so with a reflective post on Instagram on March 17.

"I’m a man of action," he wrote in the caption. "I like to act without letting myself be intimidated by obstacles, accepting the possibility that I may make a mistake without allowing it to drive me to procrastination. It is my moral duty to use the time I have wisely for as long as the good Lord gives me the energy to do so."

"The most important thing is rolling up your sleeves day after day and putting yourself out there," he added about his life and career. "Because every great achievement is the outcome of many, many small steps."

When fans saw Andrea's powerful message, they couldn't help but send kind words of appreciation for the emotional reminder.

"I love these words!!!!!! Cannot wait to see you later this week. ❤️," one person wrote in the comments. "Great reminder. Thank you 🙏," another penned. "So true, legend! ❤️❤️❤️you and your family. Bless you!" a different follower added.

While it was unclear why Andrea chose to get personal about his journey online, his words clearly resonated with his social media audience. And given how he's got a lot to celebrate (including his Andrea Bocelli 30th - The Celebration concert now streaming on PBS), we love how he's taking time to reflect and cherish what life has given him.

Excuse us while we wipe away our tears!
