Good news, Virgin River fans! The cast of the hit Netflix series is back in action filming season seven, but you should brace yourself for some changes. The longtime series is adding some new faces, it sounds like we're in for a serious shakeup.

Martin Henderson, who stars as Jack, shared a "welcome back" video with his followers on Instagram. He wrote, "Season 7 of #virginriver !!!!! Day 1 - here we go……!!!! So stoked to be back at it doing what I love for all of you who love the show. Thank you @netflix for your thoughtful gifts and the continued support and thank YOU to all the fans who keep us coming back here to make this cozy, heartfelt show. It’s an honor to be putting this thing out there for y’all 🙏❤️"

Martin shared the gifts he received from Netflix on the first day of shooting and said, "I want to make this the best season yet for you guys, because I wouldn't be there, none of us would be here, if it wasn't for you people that love the show and support the show. I am so grateful. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you...I hope we're going to make a ripper of a show for you this season. Stay tuned."

Netflix also shared some behind-the-scenes photos of the cast, including Martin, Alexandra Breckenridge, Colin Lawrence, Tim Matheson, Annette O'Toole, Sarah Dugdale, and Kai Bradbury.

Those familiar faces will be joined by Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and Cody Kearsley (Riverdale). Sara plays a former police officer who was injured in the line of duty and joins the state medical board, where she'll investigate Doc's practice. Deadline speculates that she has a previous connection with Mike (Marco Grazzini). Cody stars as Clay, who comes to town in search of his sister.

Deadline reports that the new season, which picks up right after Mel and Jack's wedding, is set to premiere on Netflix in early 2026.
