Tamron Hall is spilling a secret about her teenage years โ and we love her for always being so real with her fans.
On March 4, The Tamron Hall Show host welcomed award-winning author and behavioral scientist Michael Slepian to the series to talk about the "we listen and we don't judge" TikTok trend and the concept of keeping secrets. As the two discussed the effects keeping secrets can have on people, the topic of people keeping as many as 13 secrets at one time became present. Upon hearing that tidbit from Michael, Tamron shocked her audience by dropping an unrevealed public confession on the air.
"OK, I'm gonna tell you mine โ don't judge me," she stated in a clip posted on Instagram. "I was about 16 years old, and every day I would smuggle out an article of clothing and hide it behind the refrigerator that my dad kept in the garage. And then, I snuck off to L.A., I told my parents I was around the corner at my girlfriend's house having a sleepover, and I was a teenager in L.A., hanging out. My parents thought I was around the corner."
Tamron did reveal that her mom knows about it now, but often says, "don't ever say what your child won't do."
When folks learned about Tamron's secret, they bombarded her with thoughts.
"Tamron what a secret! ๐ฎ You were brave!!" one person wrote in the comments. "But wait, how long were you gone?! ๐," another inquired. "Thank God it was no RING cameras. I was so terrible. ๐ My mama thought I was an angel ๐," a different follower added.
And this is why Tamron is such an amazing host!
