Lauren Graham has been busy this month promoting her new series, The Z-Suite. And fans are so excited to see her back on the small screen, but, you know, no matter how many shows she does, she'll always be asked about the most beloved one: Gilmore Girls.
When Lauren recently visited Jimmy Fallon at The Tonight Show, he was quick to point out how he couldn't believe it had been 25 years since the show aired, and admitted that he's "the biggest fan." And like any true fan, he had to ask if Lauren would ever come back to reprise her role as the one and only Lorelai Gilmore. "Yes. I always say 'yes' because it's the best part I've ever had," Lauren told him. "And I loved doing it."
After the massive cheers from the audience slowed down, Lauren revealed that when she filmed the Gilmore Girls-inspired Walmart commercial last year, she was "scared" because the production team wanted her input on what kind of art should be hung up in Luke's diner. "It would be my grandchild — Rory's kid's — art up at Luke's, and it scares me, I'm scared," she said. "I just don't want to make a decision my boss [Amy Sherman Palladino] would make."
Naturally, Gilmore Girls fans had so much to say about the whole interview after seeing it. "Yessss please come back ❤️❤️❤️ definitely need another Gilmore Girls season," one person wrote on Instagram. "Omg yes please!! Watching the series made me want so much more," another wrote. "Omg they have to return with Gilmore Girls absolutely because the finale wasn't a final," someone else wrote.
When we spoke to Scott Patterson, who plays Luke, and Lauren back in December, they both agreed that another reboot would ultimately be up to the writers and studio. "But it's an honor to be asked that question. It's fun to think about, for sure," Lauren said.
So, there you have it.
