Season 27 of The Voice is still in the Blind Auditions stage, but the competition is already heating up! This week, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé went head-to-head over a country singer and, while Michael gave it his best, it was easy to see Kelsea had this one in the bag from the start.
Singer Page Mackenzie took the stage to sing "Hell on Heels" by the Pistol Annies (aka the country girl group made up of Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley). Page got Michael and Kelsea to turn their chairs, thanks to her range and signature growl.
Even Adam Levine admitted, "You were great. And then when Kelsea turned around, I'm like, I'm gonna stay away cause i feel like you should be on Kelsea's team."
Page and Kelsea had an instant connection. Page explained that she's from Charleston but lives in Nashville, and Kelsea chimed in that those are her two favorite places. Page said, "Oh my goodness, my knees are shaking," and Kelsea replied, "Mine too!"
After Michael introduced himself as "country and western singer Michael Bublé," Kelsea made her case, telling Page, "Thank you for being so wonderful, and I hope you're feeling giddy and it's a really sweet moment. I can help you because I know what if feels like to be a woman in country music. I know the challenges that comes with it, and I wanna be a safe place for you, and I wanna be a friend. And I feel like that's what we need in this industry."
To no one's surprise, Page ultimately chose the "Miss Me More" singer. We can't wait to see what she does on Team Kelsea!
