Jenny Marrs has tackled countless renovations with her husband Dave in their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas, and even abroad on Fixer to Fabulous. Following the latest episode of the HGTV series, the designer took to Instagram Stories to ask fans if they had any questions about the featured project—which led Jenny to confirm a rule she always aims to follow for every kitchen makeover.

One viewer made a keen observation, stating they noticed the microwave was missing in the renovated kitchen. So they asked Jenny if she put one in. She responded, “It’s hidden behind the cabinet doors next to the fridge!”

She went on to say that design choice is one of her signature moves. “I always try to hide a microwave behind doors when I can,” she wrote. “Less appliances visible and more cabinetry is always my preference.”

Jenny shared a few other details fans were eager to know via her Stories, including the kitchen cabinetry paint color (Drop Cloth by Farrow & Ball). She also compiled a complete list of the sources that were used for the project on her website.

In the same blog post, Jenny also recounted the story behind the special project. It wasn't a typical makeover but rather a volunteer-led project for patients of St. Judes. "It was absolutely incredible to see over 150 volunteers come together to make this dream a reality," she wrote. "From electricians to roofers, everyone gave their time and talent to bring these spaces to life. What’s more, this $100K renovation was completely funded by donations—from furniture to the tiniest details like gutters."
