Alison Sweeney is officially coming back to our TV screens — and her latest project is airing sooner than folks would expect!
For the last decade, the Days of Our Lives alum has been starring in the popular Hannah Swensen Mystery TV movie series (formerly known as Murder, She Baked) for the Hallmark network. With the last installment airing in October 2024, fans have been eagerly waiting to learn if Alison will step back into Hannah's shoes for another time in 2025.
Well, it looks like their dreams came true, thanks to Alison's surprise Instagram post on January 23. Uploading a promo photo alongside her co-star Victor Webster, she revealed the two will star in another movie in the franchise. Titled Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, Alison also shared the film is set to air on Thursday, February 6 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Mystery.
"I am so excited to jump into 2025 with an announcement!" she wrote in the caption. "There’s an all new #HannahSwensenMystery Reality Bites, coming soon! @iamvictorwebster & I had some fun with this one. And of course, the fabulous @barbaraniven always shines. Some classic Delores moments in this one. Norman returns, ready to help solve the mystery! Reality Bites premieres Thursday, February 6th on @hallmarkmystery 🕵🏼♀️🔍."
When fans discovered Alison is bringing back Hannah Swensen for another movie, it didn't take long for excitement to build.
"Omg omg omg!! YAYYY!!! 👏👏👏," one person wrote. "I can’t wait. This is my favorite @hallmarkchannel murder mystery. 😍," another declared. "Finally !!! I am so excited was waiting for a new one to come out. Thank you for doing these. I love them," a different follower added.
As for what Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery will be about, Hallmark Mystery's official website dropped a short synopsis. Reality Bites will follow Hannah Swensen as her favorite reality show takes over her Cookie Jar bake shop. But when it's discovered the producer of the show has been killed, Hannah and her friend Norman (Gabriel Hogan) decide to band together to find out who did it. And while it's unclear what Victor's character Chad is doing in this movie, his chemistry with Hannah will surely be on display throughout the entire film.
Needless to say, we'll be marking our calendars to watch this one!
