In a December 2 post uploaded on Instagram, folks got a major surprise about what's going on with the hit Yellowstone prequel series. In a twist of events, viewers learned that 1923 season 1 will air for the first time ever on Paramount Network — a major change, given how it primarily lives on Paramount+. What's more, fans can go back and rewatch 1923 season 1 starting Sunday, December 8, 2024, after the latest episode of Yellowstone season 5 part 2 premieres.
Even though some fans were excited to experience 1923 on Paramount Network, many weren't too thrilled with the announcement. Instead, they bombarded the comments section to beg for answers about when season 2 of the Western drama will come out.
"We don’t care. We’ve had time to watch it 10 times it’s been over 2 years. Now where’s season 2?" one person inquired. "Okay so I’ve already rewatched season 1 sooooo where’s season 2," another begged. "Where. Is. Season. Two?! 🤷🏽♀️🤔🙏🏾," a different follower added.
There is some hope about what's happening with season 2. Thanks to an announcement from Deadline on December 5, viewers can rejoice — 1923 season 2 will air new episodes starting on Sunday, February 23, 2025 on Paramount+. And if that wasn't enough, the show dropped a teaser trailer, which made clear that something ominous is in the air for our favorite ranchers and their loved ones.
Maybe it is a good thing that 1923 season 1 is airing on Paramount Network. We may need a good refresher for what's to come in Montana.
