Virgin River season 6 isn't even out yet and fans are already emotional over what's to come with two of their favorite characters.

The hit Netflix series is back with all-new episodes on December 19, and folks will get to see the beloved Virgin River citizens prepare for Melinda "Mel" Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson)'s wedding. But while the focus remains primarily on this couple, fans can't stop swooning over their other favorite duo — Vernon "Doc" Mullins (Tim Matheson) and Hope McCrea (Annette O'Toole)!

In a throwback clip (taken from season 2 episode 9) posted on Instagram on November 26, folks watch as Hope walks down the stairs of their house to candles spread all over. Confused by what's happening, Doc tells her he's trying to make a grand romantic gesture and keep their love alive. As he gets Hope to sit down on the couch, he makes a speech that ends up in a marriage proposal.

"You know, I heard somewhere that people don't truly process something until they've heard it six or seven times," Doc says. "So, with that in mind, I am prepared to tell you over and over and over again that I've loved you from the first day that I met you. And I will be yours until the day I die, Hope McCrea. Will you be my wife ... again?"

When folks witnessed this heartfelt moment between Doc and Hope again, they couldn't contain their emotions.

"Wow, Doc brought me to tears, beautiful," one person wrote in the comments section of the clip. "And this is why I will forever love Hope and Doc's story (other than Mel and Jack's of course)," another declared. "Awwwww so, so romantic 💘 ❤️‍🩹✨🥰👌🌈," a different viewer added.

As fans know, Doc and Hope's relationship has had plenty of ups and downs on Virgin River. What's more, this scene comes from a season where Hope suspected Doc of having an affair with her friend Muriel St. Claire (Teryl Rothery). Luckily, the two have weathered plenty of storms, and by the time season 6 comes out, they'll be stronger than ever.

Can Virgin River season 6 come any sooner? We NEED to see more from Hope and Doc, please!
