Erin Krakow may be busy working on When Calls the Heart season 12, but how can she not shout out one of her favorite co-stars during her free time?
The actress just wrapped the upcoming installment of the hit Hallmark drama, which is coming back on January 5. But in between takes, she went on Instagram to give some love to her cast mate Chris McNally (who plays Lucas Bouchard on When Calls the Heart) on his birthday. As she posted behind-the-scenes photos of Chris holding a homemade pavlova and in costume on set, Erin captioned the snaps with the sweetest message.
"Wishing the happiest birthday to two of my favorite versions of @chrismcnally: the homemade pavlova baker and one of my favorite scene partners!" she wrote in the caption on November 8. "You are generous and silly, respectful and kind, and such a good listener. You remember the details and you are a true friend! Have the best day! 💛🪴🎧."
When fans saw Erin's post, it didn't take long for When Calls the Heart viewers to jump in with their well wishes.
"To our King of Hearts ❤️ 💕 💞 ♥️ wish you a Happy birthday 🎂," one person wrote, referencing Lucas at one time owning the Queen of Hearts saloon on WCTH. "HBD, @chrismcnally [Hope Valley] wouldn’t be the same without ya!" a different follower added.
Interestingly enough, life is somewhat imitating art, given how their characters Elizabeth and Lucas are also good friends despite breaking off their engagement in the show. And while there is no real-life romance going on between the two actors — Chris is happily married to Julie Gonzalo while Erin is in a relationship with Ben Rosenbaum — we love to see a supportive cast!
With the show back on TV in just a few short weeks, we can't wait to see what other on-set photos Erin may share of her cast members.
