Luke Grimes has been a staple on TV the last six years, portraying Kayce Dutton on Yellowstone. Kayce is loyal to the ones he grew up with, but fans also adore how he's extremely loyal to his wife and son. Turns out Luke has some inspiration to use when it comes to the love his character has for his family, thanks to his real-life relationship with wife Bianca Rodrigues.
Unlike Kayce's relationship on the show, it's unclear exactly when Luke and Bianca first met. But Distractify does write the couple's road to romance likely began back in 2016, three years after Luke ended his relationship with actress Gillian Zinser in 2013. Even though Luke and Bianca primarily keep their love offline, the latter first debuted her husband on Instagram back in August 2019.
"✨❤️," she simply wrote alongside a photo of her and Luke gazing lovingly at one another.
Although fans were aware the two were an item, it wasn't long before Bianca revealed she and Luke had quietly gotten married. She didn't share much information at the time of the wedding, but in November 2020, she implied the two's marital status with a romantic anniversary post on Instagram.
"Happy anniversary anjo ❤️ ," she affectionately wrote at the time, while calling him "angel" in Portuguese. "Te amo!"
While the two prefer keeping their relationship away from the spotlight, Bianca and Luke do support each other in their work endeavors. Folks have often seen the couple walking the red carpet at various award shows, or posing for the cameras at Luke's press events for Yellowstone. But as Luke shared with Country Living in October 2024, the couple love to embrace the quiet life by living in Montana, where Yellowstone filmed.
"At a certain point, I met my wife and it all kind of came together where it felt like I hit a place in my career where I could live somewhere else," he shared with the outlet. "Also, technology had changed in a way where I could do meetings and auditions without being in LA, and my wife and I wanted to raise a family somewhere else; I kind of told her about [Montana] and she fell in love with it, too. That’s how we ended up here."
While life imitated art for the couple by living in Montana, Luke also embraced another aspect he now shares with his Yellowstone role. In August 2024, Bianca revealed the couple were expecting their first child. They later welcomed their son in October 2024, which she shared on Instagram with a sweet photo of the family of three.
So, how does Luke feel about this stage of his life? He shared with USA Today in July 2023 how he has all the love for Bianca. What's more, he couldn't stop gushing how devoted he is to them being together for the long haul.
"I just wanted to make it very clear. I'm a very married person and I love my wife to death. We'll be together forever," he told the publication at the time. "There's no way I earn it. I do my best. But I'm a flawed big ol' weird-ass man. She's the real angel here."
Clearly, Bianca is just as smitten with Luke as he is with her. Fans can see it with all the photos she shares online, but an Instagram image of Luke kissing her cheek in October 2023 really sealed the love they have for one another.
"My love ❤️," she simply wrote.
