This story contains light spoilers from Sullivan's Crossing season 2.

We're just a few weeks into episodes of Sullivan's Crossing season 2 airing on the CW, and the show already has fans rooting for Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Cal (Chad Michael Murray) to finally get together.

While the show loves to take twists and turns in this will-they or won't-they couple's relationship, Good Housekeeping's exclusive clip may have folks thinking a bit differently about Maggie and Cal's situationship. Fans can watch the duo have an emotional heart-to-heart conversation ahead of the fourth episode (titled "Eye of the Storm") airing on Wednesday, October 23 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.

Amid a torrential hurricane hitting Sullivan's Crossing in the previous episode, folks last saw Maggie be knocked unconscious and Cal bringing her back to the Outpost in a heroic feat. Now, as Maggie wakes up and finds herself all scraped up, Cal finds himself being the caretaker who has more feelings than just putting a Band-Aid on his love interest. What's more, this incredibly kind act leads to an emotional revelation between the two.

"Does it hurt?" Cal asks Maggie while he cleans her wound and patches her up with a bandage.

"No," Maggie replies before sighing. "I'm just not used to having someone look after me."

As the two continue to share a tender moment, it's clear something is brewing in the romance department. Nonetheless, Cal can't help but give Maggie some sweet advice about letting people in and putting her guard down.

"Well, maybe it's time you changed that," Cal sweetly adds.

Although Maggie and Cal's relationship has been riddled with Maggie's on-and-off boyfriend Andrew (Allan Hawco) trying to keep the two apart, it's easy to see they have a lot of chemistry. And if this is only a preview of what's to come, we definitely need to tune in and see what happens!
