Everyone is having a hard time saying goodbye to Hoda Kotb.
Although the TODAY host isn't officially leaving her post until early 2025, the emotional partings have already begun as many celebrities, like Jason Segel, realize that it could be the last time they are interviewed by the legend.
In fact, it was Jason who left Hoda completely speechless as they wrapped up their interview this week. "And I'm going to miss you when you're gone," Jason told Hoda. "I just want you to know, these interviewers have been some of the best of my whole career, so I'm really grateful to know you."
Hoda was completely taken aback by Jason's kind words, and through tears, simply replied, "Thanks."
When the TODAY show posted the emotional clip on Instagram, fans were quick to praise both Jason and Hoda. "Telling people exactly how you feel about them is a magical way of living," one person wrote. "Hoda was speechless. I never saw that. Love her," someone else said. "The way you can see how his words touched her in her expression," another person commented.
Earlier this month, Hoda announced she would be departing TODAY after 17 years. Her key reason is to spend more time with her two daughters, Hope and Haley. "Obviously, I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have," she said. "I feel like we only have a finite amount of time."
As far as who will replace Hoda, that still remains unknown.
