Who knew that all we wanted for Christmas was Kelly Clarkson?

The singer and daytime TV host is celebrating the holiday season a little early, thanks to a surprise announcement she dropped for her fans on September 23. Kelly revealed she's stepping back into the music game for a new holiday single, titled "You For Christmas." Collaborating with producers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, she also shared her new song will be available to listen to sooner than her fans would think.

"Christmas in September? 👀 ….. okay🎅🏼," The Kelly Clarkson Show star excitedly wrote alongside the single's album cover on Instagram. "My new holiday single 'You For Christmas' is out this Friday, September 27! Thank you @IamMarkRonson and @wyattish for such an incredible collab! I can’t wait for y’all to hear it."

Given how it's been some time since Kelly released any new music, fans couldn't hold back their excitement over her getting back to her roots for a festive moment.

"I don’t care what anyone says— YOU are the queen of Christmas!!!!" one person exclaimed. "Yay! Always here for Kelly Christmas music! ❤️," another agreed. "Thank you! I guess my Christmas will start early 💃," a different follower added.

As listeners may remember, the American Idol winner has been in the holiday music game for quite some time. She released her first holiday album Wrapped in Red back in 2013, which featured her version of "Silent Night" with Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood. She dropped her second holiday record When Christmas Comes Around... in 2021, and it was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards. She also has a Christmas special of the same name, which premiered on NBC in December 2021 and reached 4.3 million total viewers, per Deadline.

Well, it looks like we now have another Christmas song to add to our holiday playlists this year!
