After a difficult freshman year that was cut short due to her cancer diagnosis, Isabella Strahan is finally returning to campus (and cancer-free)!

The daughter of pro-football Hall of Famer and Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan celebrated her return to the University of Southern California two months after finishing her last round of chemotherapy for medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor that she was diagnosed with back in October 2023.

She took to Instagram on August 20 to share a selfie with her mother Jean Muggli, captioning it "Back at USC" as she smiled and winked at the camera, and a few days later shared a TikTok eagerly showing off her sunny new Southern California apartment, smiling and jumping around. Happiness wasn't only eminating from the 19-year-old, as GMA fans shared their excitement for her big milestone after a particularly hard year.

"Thank God Isabella is well," one person commented on X, formerly Twitter. "#MichaelStrahan this is awesome. So grateful for this outcome. Take care," another wrote. "So happy for her. 🥰," a different person tweeted. One fan said, "You Rock Isabella!! ❤️"

Isabella's return to college comes a little over two months after she announced she had finished with chemotherapy treatment at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center after the "wildest" eight months — a journey that she documented and shared on YouTube — and one month after she shared she was officially cancer-free.

"Great scans, everything was clear. Cancer-free," she said. "Everything is great. I don't have another doctor's appointment until October. I miss my doctors already and everyone who has helped me because they're all so nice . . . Like I feel like I'm just saddened today knowing that I wasn't going to be going back for a while because I love them so much."

We, along with all of the other GMA fans, wish her a happy and healthy school year ahead!
