The welcome celebration for the Paralympics will be held on the Champs-Élysées at the Place de la Concorde in Paris. This will also look a little different than other Paralympics opening ceremonies in the past, as this will be the first one not held in a traditional stadium.
With the ceremony being open to spectators, folks will watch a parade involving 6,000 athletes from 184 delegations celebrating their love of sports. Along with the lighting of the Paralympic cauldron, viewers can watch four-time wheelchair basketball Paralympian Steve Serio and 2016 Rio Paralympic sitting volleyball gold medalist Nicky Nieves as Team USA's Opening Ceremony flag bearers.

Once again celebrating the unified love of all things athleticism, the Paralympics closing ceremony will mark the end of this era with a huge party. Billboard writes the celebration will highlight the French electro music scene, with a number of French artists singing and DJ'ing their way in style.
