Tyler Perry has huge news to share with his fans, and it's something that'll have folks giving him a round of applause for.

The media mogul's latest film Divorce in the Black dropped on Amazon Prime Video back in July 2024, and it's caused a stir among those who've streamed it. The movie follows a young woman (Meagan Good) who's devastated by her husband (Cory Hardrict) filing for divorce, and the consequences that come with her trying to move on from the relationship. At the time of the movie's release, fans immediately started watching it, and it led to some interesting stats that Tyler shared on Instagram.

According to the Maxine's Baby: a Tyler Perry Story creator (and a report from Variety), Divorce in the Black drove more people to sign up for Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. than any other Amazon MGM Studios produced film. What's more, the outlet reported that the movie came in at #3 on Nielsen's Top 10 streaming chart for the week of July 8-14, with 498 million minutes watched. Tyler was clearly proud of his career achievement, and he expressed his gratitude over it in the caption.

"Thank you everybody. Nothing more to say!" he wrote on August 12.

Upon seeing Tyler's incredible career milestone, it didn't take long for fans to cheer him on for his success.

"πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ Your talent and your films speak for themselves. People are watching this movie multiple times and I'm sure Amazon is satisfied with the film. Congratulations!!!" one person wrote. "YesssπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ that’s what I’m talking about!! I loved the movie!! Definitely watching it again!!" another exclaimed. "@tylerperry you did a phenomenal job! This was totally out the πŸ“¦!! I'm glad you wrote it just the way you did!! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ," a different follower added.

Well, if this isn't something worth celebrating! Congrats, Tyler and we're thrilled to see what you come up with next!
