Fans of Colleen Hoover’s novel It Ends With Us have been reeling with anticipation since it was announced that a film adaptation would be released this year. Though initial photo leaks of filming left them with more than a few questions about whether the movie would live up to expectations — including concerns about who is playing neurosurgeon love interest Ryle Kincaid, the official trailer and theater release only boosted fans' excitement surrounding the project.
Now that the wait is finally over, with the film starring Blake Lively as Lily Bloom and Justin Baldoni as Ryle officially in theaters, we’re here to update you with all of the ways to watch and stream It Ends With Us.
Editor's note: The film, like the novel, addresses toxic relationships and domestic abuse. If you or a loved one are experiencing domestic abuse, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233 (it’s available 24/7 and all calls are anonymous and confidential), or log on to thehotline.org for help and/or advice.
How to watch It Ends With Us
The story that has had BookTok obsessed since 2020 hit theaters on August 9. But if you’re hoping to stream the film instead, here's what to know.
When will It Ends With Us be streaming?
More than likely, the film will be streaming on Netflix sometime in the near future. Since the film is distributed by Sony Pictures, which inked a streaming deal with Netflix in 2021 allowing feature films to be hosted on the platform within 6 months of its release, it is expected that It Ends With Us will follow suit.
While exact dates for the streaming service have not been announced, other Sony films have made it onto the streamer within three to four months of their release. So, It Ends With Us may land on Netflix sometime in November or December.
In the meantime, you can catch up on the popular series by reading all of the books in order.
