Kaley Cuoco is saying goodbye to someone who made a lasting impression on her.

On July 18, the world learned that legendary comedian Bob Newhart died at the age of 94 after a series of short illnesses. Famous for starring in a number of movies and TV series (including his own variety show), one of his last roles was portraying Professor Proton, a scientist turned kids' television show host who Sheldon loved, on The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.

As celebrities went on social media to pay tribute to the late actor, Kaley got emotional in her own statement. As she posted pictures of him and the rest of The Big Bang Theory cast on her Instagram stories, she voiced how much working alongside him meant to her.

"What a dream it was to witness the genius that was Bob Newhart," she sentimentally wrote over the photos. "He was classy, kind, generous and absolutely hilarious. Every take — every time. Icon forever 💔."

"I will never forget you, Bob!" she added on a second image. "Thank you for making our dreams come true!"

As fans may remember, Bob appeared in six episodes of the hit show, and won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in 2013, gaining the recognition for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. (Bob was also a three-time Grammy Award winner).

Our thoughts are with all of Bob's family and friends.
