In what fans could only call a heart-melting moment, Al Roker is paying tribute to the littlest love of his life.

On July 3, the Today show host went on Instagram to announce and celebrate his granddaughter Sky's first birthday. (Her mother is Al's daughter, Courtney Roker Laga.)

Al uploaded a precious video montage of Sky, beginning with her as a newborn in the hospital and showing her growing over her first year. He also marked the occasion with an emotional tribute in the caption about how his life changed with her birth.

"At 11:41am a year ago today, I got to fall in love all over again in a very special way," he affectionately captioned the photo, as Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" played in the background. "Thanks @ouichefroker and @thatteacherwhodjs for the gift of this special girl, Sky."

When fans saw Al share a public display of affection for his only grandchild, it didn't take long before folks celebrated alongside him.

"Yes!! Happy 1st birthday, beautiful, sweet Sky! πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’—πŸ™πŸΌπŸŽˆ," one person wrote in the comments. "How is she a year! So beautiful!" another declared. "Happiest birthday precious little girl!! Your PopPop is seriously smitten! Just the best gift ever!" a different follower added.

Al has been vocal about the impact Sky made in his life since she was born. While hosting the July 9 taping of the Today show, he opened up about a recent milestone she reached.

"We had Sky's first birthday on the third," he explained to his fellow co-stars in a video posted on TikTok. "It was fun, because she started crawling this weekend at the house. She's doing, you know, the army crawl. And then she does this, what we call the 'zoomies.' And then she keeps crawling and I mean, now she's like gone. Now we got to start baby proofing."

What an adorable moment!
