Al Roker is known for writing mystery novels and non-fiction works, but now, he's stepping into his cookbook era.
Posting a video on Instagram with his daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, the two announced they're publishing a new cookbook titled Al Roker's Recipes to Live By. What's more, it is set to debut on bookshelves on October 15, but fans can already pre-order it for purchase.
"We are so excited to announce our new #cookbook Al Roker’s Recipes To Live By," he excitedly captioned the clip posted on June 15. "My daughter, @ouichefroker found our favorite recipes from family, friends and coworkers. She then made them easy to make and delicious! We cannot wait for you to pick up a copy of Al Roker’s Recipes To Live By written by yours truly and Courtney Roker, available wherever you get your books on October 15."
When fans saw Al was adding culinary work to his ever-expanding literary empire, they rushed to the comments to share their excitement for his and Courtney's collaboration.
"Congrats!!!!! I LOVE this for you two!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏," one person wrote. "I’ve loved all of your books, Al and really look forward to this one!" another agreed. "Yay!!! I can’t wait to buy this cookbook!!! 🙌," a different follower added.
So, what will Al Roker's Recipes to Live By entail? According to Today.com, the book will feature 100 recipes that he and Courtney created together, along with instructions for some of his most-loved foods. The book is meant to be one that a cook at any skill level can work with, and it will also take fans into Al and Courtney's kitchens.
"This is truly a labor of love to be able to create a record and a cookbook with my daughter Courtney of all the recipes that mean the most to me and my family," he told the outlet. "And, bonus: She did all the work!"
If Al's enthusiasm over the heartfelt project isn't enough, Courtney feels the exact same way.
"In this book, you can expect to find recipes that we personally cherish, whether they were passed down in our family or discovered during our culinary adventures together," she added. 'We’ve poured our hearts into crafting dishes that reflect our shared love for cooking and our cultural heritage. My goal is for any home cook, from beginners to seasoned chefs, to experience the joy and satisfaction of creating delicious meals and to inspire you to make your own kitchen memories."
