We may be exiting sweater weather, but Katie Holmes has the perfect outfit solution for staying chic and cozy during the warmer months: the sweater dress.
The actor and director looked so elegant while out in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood last Tuesday. Her ensemble consisted of simple yet unique staples: an artful sweater dress and the prettiest flats.
The dress was a navy piece from Me+Em crafted from bouclé fabric and made Holmes look like she should have been lounging on a yacht with a chilled glass of champagne. The top was fitted and had a high neck, as well as subtle cutouts at the waist, from where the long skirt flared out. The skirt was broken up with white vertical stripes and had a fun raw hem for added texture.
Holmes wore the elevated piece with pointy white ballet flats with straps at the top and ankles. She added her go-to gold nose hoop and a bright red lip, as well as some smoky eye shadow.
The Dawson’s Creek alum’s stylish outing came just one day after she attended the Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner at the Odeon in New York City in the most luxurious black lace look. She wore a sparkly lacy black cardigan and a matching lace maxi skirt, which she paired with a plain black scoop-neck tank top. Always one for a fabulous shoe, Holmes finished the outfit with some super-high strappy black heeled sandals; she added a black velvet rectangular clutch, stud earrings, and a chain necklace.
