It's time for some glitz and glamour, Celebrity Jeopardy! fans, because we have some news to share about the future of the show!
Just a few months after the Jeopardy! spinoff declared Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter as the winner of season 2, ABC made a major announcement about the show's future. Deadline reported on May 10 that Celebrity Jeoaprdy! got renewed for another season.
The show also confirmed the new on the same day by posting about it on its official Instagram. "More stars will battle it out when #CelebrityJeopardy returns to ABC!" read the caption.
When fans discovered Celebrity Jeopardy! would be back for another season, it didn't take long for them to share their excitement online.
"Can’t wait for more quizzes," one person wrote in the comments. "I am so excited 😆," another agreed. "When does a new season of Celebrity Jeopardy start?" a different follower inquired.
While details of Celebrity Jeopardy!'s season 3 premiere date or if Ken Jennings will return as host are being kept under wraps, at least we know that the show will be back on the air at some point. If we think back to season 1 and 2, both aired in September, so we can likely expect the same fall-premiere this time around.
Fans may remember that The Mindy Project star Ike Barinholtz won the first season of Celebrity Jeopardy! in February 2023, donating his $1 million prize to the Pacific Clinics organization. As for season 2, Lisa Ann donated her earnings to the Entertainment Community Fund after winning the competition in January 2024.
Well, we can't wait to see which celebrities will test their trivia knowledge next!
