Less than a month after Valerie Bertinelli revealed she's in a romantic relationship after her 2022 divorce, fans are now getting a clue on who he is!
In a post uploaded on the Food Network alum's Instagram, fans got the first look at Valerie's new beau. Tagging the Instagram handle of Mike Goodnough, folks got to see the couple together for the first time in an official capacity. The image showed Valerie and Mike posing together for a selfie, wearing matching glasses and smiles over their respective new romance. She also couldn't help but voice just how happy she is by quoting the lyrics of a song from one of today's biggest pop stars.
🎶 I’ll drink what you think and I’m high from smokin’ your jokes all damn night 🎶," she wrote on April 20, writing out the lyrics to Taylor Swift's song "So High School." "♥️ @therealhoarse."
Valerie isn't the only one happy about her romance. Shortly after she posted the image, Mike went to the comments to write a public display of affection for her.
"They look happy, those two," he joked in the comments.
What's more, when the Hot in Cleveland actress' followers saw her debut her new man online, they immediately rushed to voice kind words to her.
"Valerie, I think you found the last piece of your puzzle. You look complete ♥️," one person wrote on Instagram. "This photo is pure joy ❤️❤️," another gushed. "Yay!! Congratulations Valerie!! You deserve happiness in your life!!❤️," a different follower added.
While the photo was Valerie's first time showing Mike off for her fanbase, Mike has already opened up about his feelings on dating her. In a post on his Hoarse Whisperings Substack, he paid tribute to her with a sentimental note.
"I am Valerie Bertinelli’s boyfriend … and that may well be among the most surreal sentences I’ve ever pecked out," he wrote, via Entertainment Tonight. "But it’s true … and nothing about our actual relationship seems surreal. It just seems … good … lucky … a gift."
"Life is crazy, kids. It just is," he added. "It’ll rain hellfire down on you for years and bring you to your knees… and then it’ll open the skies to deep blue and love and calling someone 'Honey' because you just love the absolute hell out of her and feel so very thankful for the gift of that feeling, the gift of her. So, the little rumor going around, consider it happily confirmed."
