The actress took a break from filming new episodes of Law and Order: SVU for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 8. As the star promoted SVU's monumental season 25, fans were quick to call out Mariska's fashionable late-night look.
For her on-air appearance, Mariska wore an embellished black velvet jumpsuit that mixed a classic silhouette with chic, modern details. The top part of the ensemble was especially unique with puffed, long sleeves, cutouts down to the waist and three beaded gold sun decals on the front. The piece also paid homage to the 1970s with wide, long pant legs that skimmed the top of her shoes. Viewers couldn't get enough of the outfit, which was equal parts simple and alluring.
When photos from Mariska's appearance circulated on Instagram, it didn't take long for people to exclaim how much they loved the "incredible pantsuit."
"She ate and left ZERO crumbs!!! 😮💨😍🔥," one person declared. "You came and delivered exactly what the people wanted 👏🔥," another replied. "Mariska absolutely SERVING once again👏👏🔥," a different fan raved.
Given the subtle drama of Mariska's jumpsuit, it was only right she'd accent the look with pieces that further elevated it. Along with a pair of pointed-toe stiletto heels, she wore cocktail rings and a pair of dangling earrings. She styled her dark hair into a messy bun with pieces framing her face, and she pulled the outfit together with classic eye makeup and a neutral lip color.
