Jonathan Bailey didn't receive a 2024 SAG Awards nomination for his work as Tim Laughlin in Fellow Travelers, but that's not stopping him from giving all the love to his co-star who did.
The official nominations for the SAG Awards came out on January 10, and fans learned that Jonathan's co-star Matt Bomer received a nod in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series category for portraying Hawkins "Hawk" Fuller on the Showtime/Paramount+ series. In celebration of the unexpected news, Matt (who also served as an executive producer for Fellow Travelers) went on Instagram to express his gratitude for SAG-AFTRA recognizing his work in creating the hit drama.
"This means the world to me," he emotionally captioned the announcement. "I love my fellow actors so much — even the salty ones! I’m very grateful that we get to do what we do. And to be included in this incredible group — wow. Thank you @sagawards @sagaftra."
As Matt relished in his SAG Awards nomination on social media, it didn't take long for Jonathan to chime in with the sweetest shoutout over his cast mate's success.
"❤️🔥," he simply replied in the comments.
When fans saw the Bridgerton star give kudos to the White Collar alum, they couldn't help but voice how Jonathan should have had his own moment of recognition alongside Matt for their joint work in Fellow Travelers. "@jbayleaf Both you and Matt deserve all awards. All the best ❤️," one person wrote.
As viewers may remember, this is the second time Jonathan wasn't acknowledged for his performance in Fellow Travelers. Back in December 2023, only Matt received a Golden Globes nomination for Best Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture. This was due to the elimination of the Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series category, making Matt the only star eligible for a trophy from the show. In the end, Steven Yeun won the award for Beef.
