Lamorne Morris has some thoughts about reprising his role as Winston Bishop on New Girl.

When Lamorne caught up with Variety to promote the season 5 finale of Fargo, where he plays Deputy Witt Farr, he was asked about a potential New Girl reunion. While Fox (the network that aired the series) hasn't announced any plans to reprise the show, it does seem like Lamorne would be open to a very specific type of spinoff.

"Listen, I would totally be down. Hell, someone write a spinoff. If you’re reading this article, write a Winston spinoff! I am totally down to do it," Lamorne said after noting that realistically, it wouldn't be easy to recreate something so brilliant.

"There have been talks about it," he said. "I’m not sure how serious those talks were ... I’m not sure how easy it was for [show creator] Liz Meriwether and her squad to create it. I feel they had fun in the writers’ room, but I’m assuming it was also a tough job because I feel like every episode was on point. It takes brilliant writers and a lot of hard work to accomplish that."

And while Lamorne has since gone on to star in more expansive roles, he still has a soft spot for the character that put him on the Hollywood map.

"The way I got to perform when I was playing Winston was a dream come true," he added. "I thoroughly missed that style of performance and silliness and the whimsical nature of it all."

And we definitely miss him!
