Hannah Swensen Mysteries fans, have we got a surprise for you. A brand-new movie in the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries franchise is in our midst: A Zest For Death, premiering on Friday, October 6 at 9 p.m. ET.
In an exclusive clip for Good Housekeeping from Hallmark (above), we see Hannah Swensen (Alison Sweeney) back in action as she tries to figure out who killed the owner of a home she and her mother Delores (Barbara Niven) are looking to buy for Hannah's sister Michelle (Tess Atkins). As she stands in the office of her love interest, Detective Mike Kingston (Cameron Mathison), the two get into a heated debate about her true intention behind showing up to the Lake Eden Sheriff's Department.
"I just had an interesting conversation with the sheriff," Hannah tells Mike as he steps into his place of work. "Yeah, I heard. He's taking it as a good sign," Mike replies.
Clearly not satisfied with Mike's impression of the current events, Hannah calls him out over his lack of enthusiasm for her being there.
Needless to say, Hannah and Mike's chemistry is certainly lighting up the small screen! Given how the twosome have had an on-and-off relationship throughout the franchise's seven previous movies, it's only logical for sparks to fly once more ... all while they try to close the case on another mystery in their small town.
As for how this story ends, folks will just have to tune in to see how Hannah fares in working on this latest mystery. Who knows, maybe there will be a sweet ending. After all, this wouldn't be a Hannah Swensen mystery without the titular character spending some time in her Cookie jar bakeshop!
