Throughout her decades-long career in the music industry, Shakira never ceased to amaze fans with her incredible vocal skills. But she also always manages to capture folks' attention through her fashion choices.

Ahead of her receiving the Video Vanguard award and performing at the 2023 VMAs, the "Hips Don't Lie" songstress stunned her followers when she uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes posts on Instagram from what appeared to be of a photoshoot. As people witnessed her perform an impromptu dance routine in front of a neutral background, they couldn't help but focus on the bold outfit she wore for the moment.

Wearing a bright orange sleeveless top, Shakira's garment featured a mix of a halter neckline. The piece also had cutouts along the rib cage, giving a leaf-like design while simultaneously allowing the musician more movement to dance in front of the camera. The shirt's straps wrapped around her back, further accentuating the unique details within the design.

In typical Shakira fashion, her daring top wasn't the only thing her fans loved on her. Along with pairing the shirt with low-rise jeans, the singer wore her signature blonde hair in mermaid waves. To tie it all together, she had on smoky brown eye makeup, rosy cheeks and matching lipstick.

Needless to say, fans couldn't get enough of the entire look on Instagram. "QUEEN πŸ”₯❀️," one person wrote in the comments. "So beautiful 😍," another exclaimed. "You are stunning, Shak! 😘," a different follower declared in another post.

While we're not sure about what Shakira will wear when she receives the Video Vanguard honor at the VMA's, seeing this may just be the indicator we didn't realize. After all, Shakira's flair for fashion doesn't lie ... right?
