Matthew Gray Gubler has been a lot more active on social media as of late — and his former Criminal Minds co-star Paget Brewster has some thoughts about that.

Matthew is getting ready to debut his second children's book, The Little Kid With the Big Green Hand, and he's been documenting his downtime ahead of what's sure to be a busy work schedule.

Over the weekend, the actor posted a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, with his mother Marilyn, giving fans a glimpse of the duo sporting matching polka dot-patterned pants in what appears to be a clothing store dressing room.

Soon after Matthew uploaded the family image online, his former Criminal Minds co-star commented on the sweet mother-son moment. "I miss you and Boss Mom so much," Paget replied on August 12. "[Husband] Steve [Damstra] and I send all our love and hugs!"

Fans haven't seen the former co-stars together IRL since the Criminal Minds series finale aired on CBS in February 2020, so Paget's callout to her former cast mate sent folks into a tizzy in the comments.

"[An] MGG + PVB reunion might break the internet," one person wrote on the X platform while referencing their initials. "Matthew and Paget interaction we love to see it," a different follower chimed in. "[Please] this is too cute, stop making me sob 🥹😭," another added.

Longtime viewers of the popular series know that Criminal Minds was eventually rebooted as Criminal Minds: Evolution, with new episodes airing on Paramount+. And while it's not clear whether Matthew's Dr. Spencer Reid will appear in season 2 of the show (or ever!), it's been nice to see Paget return to her role as BAU unit chief Emily Prentiss.

As far as Paget and Matthew's relationship off-screen, they've never publicly discussed whether or not they've met up since 2020. But Paget has mentioned Matthew on social media on different occasions, signaling they'll always share a special bond.
