Kaley Cuoco is celebrating a lot as of late. In addition to the release of her Peacock dramedy Based on a True Story, she just expanded her family with one more pet.
In a video uploaded in collaboration with her dog brand Oh Norman!'s Instagram, The Big Bang Theory star announced that she adopted a dog with her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey. Showing off a video montage with snippets of the pup, Kaley shared that the couple decided to name him King. What's more, she detailed exactly why they chose to give him the royal moniker.
"Meet King 👑," she wrote on the video posted on June 22. "When we rescued King, he was scrawny, underweight, scared and hairless. We named him King 👑 because that's the way he will be treated for the rest of his life. Like a king 👑."
Soon after the clip went live on social media, Tom also voiced his love for the latest family member in the comments. "Kingy!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌,' he replied.
When fans saw that Kaley and Tom expanded their family outside of their daughter Matilda, they immediately congratulated them on the decision.
"I’m so happy for you and King ❤️,' one person wrote on Instagram. "King is a lucky pup!" a different follower noted. "As it should be! Thank you for rescuing King. 🤗❤👑🐾🐕," another chimed in.
As for how King became a part of Kaley and Tom's inner animal circle, The Flight Attendant actress elaborated on his origin story. She wrote in the caption that they crossed paths him while the two were away from their home in California.
"Adoption Story: Tom and I found King while Tom was working on a show in Atlanta," she explained in her caption. "I was pregnant and wanted to rescue a dog who truly needed rehab. It was love at first sight!"
We can't wait to see more of King in the future!
