Mayim Bialik just made a personal change to the way she looks, and her recent foray into beauty left fans completely in awe of her.

Over the last few months, the Jeopardy! host has taken her followers behind the scenes of how she transitions her hair from shorter lengths to longer ones overnight. It turns out she has a variety of hair extensions. But in a new post added to Instagram, Mayim decided to make a more dramatic and permanent switch to her hairstyle by chopping it off into a semi-pixie cut. What's more, she let in fans on the new appearance via a selfie.

"Sometimes the best lighting just happens to be in the bathroom. New hair!" The Big Bang Theory star captioned the picture on March 23 while wearing natural makeup.

Because Mayim frequently does her hair for her hosting gig and for her Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, her loyal fanbase loved seeing the actress express herself in this unique way. As to be expected, her followers jumped at the chance to tell her so in the comments on Instagram.

"I wish I could pull off short hair like you do 😍 You simply are stunning, @missmayim ❤️," one person wrote. I’m effing loving this on you 😍😍😍," another added. "Wow, didn't even recognize [you]!! Very chic! 🔥🔥🔥," a different follower added.

Needless to say, Mayim is enjoying the change just in time for spring. What's more, this wasn't the only chance folks got to see the Blossom alum's new haircut. She posted another selfie a few days later on March 26, showing off her shorter hairstyle and a necklace to honor late Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy. The TV personality also dressed up for the occasion, adding a textured blazer jacket and a pair of aviator glasses to pull it all together.

Now, we'll just have to wait and see if Mayim takes this bold look to the TV screen ...
