It's not every day you see a celebrity doing their own home renovations. But Drew Barrymore isn't your ordinary Hollywood A-lister. That said, like any novice flipping a house, The Drew Barrymore Show host called experts in for help, who so happened to be Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines.
Earlier this month, Drew posted an Instagram video documenting her recent demolition, and she looked to be in desperate need of assistance. Standing in her previously pink kitchen, she begged the former HGTV lifestyle hosts to come give her an emotional boost during this frustrating process. Though she started off feeling upbeat, by the time the walls were knocked down and the house only had its studs — it was a different kind of reaction.
"Chip and Jo," the actress jokingly cried out in the July 21 Instagram clip. "Is this the way you feel sometimes mid-project? Like ... "
At least Drew knows exactly the right people to call! What's more, it must have been her lucky day because Joanna took to the comments section and offered her advice. "I feel you, Drew!!" the Magnolia Network founder replied. "Keep your vision in mind and keep pushing through the mess! It's going to be so beautiful and worth it!!"
Unsurprisingly, folks appreciated her stopping by with a kind message. "I knew you would be sweet and reassuring. Grateful for you," one person responded.
While the 50 First Dates star has been busy renovating her kitchen since June, this is the first time she's had to potentially call in some reinforcements. As her fans usually do, they were right behind her, giving her the support — and maybe the laughs she needs to make it through the stressful time.
"Do you need help I can come over and help ❤️❤️❤️😮😮😍😍😂😂🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹🌹," one fan offered to the Flower Beauty founder. "Open that window and breathe sweets, you’ll get through it! 😉," another commented. "You have a case of MPRS - Mid Project Regret Syndrome! Stay calm, it is always worse before it is better. It will all work out! ❤️," a different viewer wrote.
Thank goodness the Wedding Singer's followers were at the ready to dish out much needed encouragement! So, does this mean we'll get the chance to see Drew and Joanna join forces? Only time will tell. But maybe she should have the Fixer Upper star's number on speed dial, just in case.
