Good Morning America star Michael Strahan loves seeing his daughter Isabella take on the world.
On April 11, the ABC coanchor shared a nearly minute-long Instagram Reel showcasing what appears to be the beginning of her professional modeling career. As fans of the former NFL star may know, Michael shares 17-year-old twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, with ex-wife Jean Muggli. After the two got married in 1999, they welcomed their kids in 2004. The couple then divorced in 2006.
Throughout the years, Michael has shared some social media posts here and there of his family. While he enjoys keeping his personal life separate from his work life, the Texas native couldn’t contain his excitement seeing one of his children doing so well. (Michael also has two other kids from a previous marriage.) Set to T.I. and Rihanna’s 2008 song “Live Your Life,” the Instagram Reel shows Isabella getting her makeup and hair done backstage before stepping out onto the runway.
Best known for her formal evening wear, fashion designer Sherri Hill dressed up Isabella in two contrasting gowns: a black velvet dress with grey detailing and a white gown with a feather train. In the clip, GMA viewers can spot Michael behind the scenes with his daughter and also at the front row at the fashion show.
“Very proud of you, @isabellastrahan, for crushing your first runway this weekend for @sherrihill!!!!” he captioned the clip. “As a parent, there is nothing like watching your child succeed at what they love with a smile on their face! #ProudDad #GirlDad.”
After seeing Isabella make her debut in the fashion world and Michael bursting with joy, he received supportive messages from his GMA family cheering them on. “❤️❤️❤️❤️ so happy to see this,” wrote Lara Spencer. “🙌🙌🙌,” added Sam Champion. “👏👏👏,” commented Amy Robach.
GMA fans also cheered on Isabella's accomplishment. One fan commented, “How wonderful for her to do something she loves 💞💞💞 you are one proud papa 🙌🙌."
