The Tam Fam is about to see Tamron Hall on TV in a different kind of show.
The 51-year-old broadcast journalist is taking her talents from the Tamron Hall show to the Court TV true crime series Someone They Knew. On February 28, Tamron announced her new investigative project by sharing the show's poster on Instagram. In the photo, she wears a blue power suit and black pump heels while sitting in a chair and looking straight at the camera.
Tamron took the opportunity to thank her viewers, who she affectionately calls her Tam Fam, for their continuous support. According to her, it's because of them that she was given the chance to star in a second show premiering on March 6. "New Show Alert! #tamfam y’all keep me busy," she captioned her Instagram. "It’s because of you @courttvnetwork welcomed me to their team ... Daytime host/Nighttime host always time for #tamfam."
Without skipping a beat, Tamron's fans rushed to the comments section to congratulate her on the new show. Several folks wondered out loud how she gets it all done in a day. One person wrote: "When do you sleep Tamron?! You inspire us queen✨ 💐💐💐💐💐.” Another added: "Ayyyeee this is going to be good...I love your narration!! Congratulations 👏🏽." A different fan said: "🔥🔥👏👏 can’t wait."
Someone They Knew was originally scheduled to air in early January but now, folks can tune in every Sunday night to see Tamron share stories about how the path from victim to verdict unfolds. Per Deadline, the true crime series will tell the the perspective of the people impacted by the case, like lawyers, jurors, law enforcement and the victim’s loved ones.
“When the idea of a series focused on crimes committed by intimate partners was presented to me, I felt a deep connection to these victims,” she said in a statement. “I have always been pulled into the ‘why’ – why crimes like this happen – and the heartbreaking impact they have on family and friends. Court TV represents an additional, trusted partner to support the important work that I do.”
New episodes of Someone They Knew will air on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Court TV. Check your local listings to watch on TV or stream live on via the Court TV website.
