Two months after airing their winter finales, Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 are almost return to ABC with new episodes. Ahead of the drama officially coming back on February 24, the network revealed that fans should prepare to see another Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 crossover event. By the looks of it, it's going to be action-packed.
Back in December before the holiday season kicked off, folks were treated a 30-second-long episode teaser for the shows upcoming storylines — Grey's 18th season and Station 19's fifth season. In the medical drama series, Station 19's fictional first responders are immediately on the scene after Owen (Kevin McKidd)'s car falls off a cliff. But he's not the only one in trouble. Over in the emergency room, Grey's Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) works on saving Dr. Hamilton (Peter Gallagher)'s life while the rest of her team deals with other issues at the hospital.
What's more, in a longer winter teaser, fans are introduced to new Fire Chief Natasha Ross (Merle Dandridge) who has a past with Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe).
Inevitably, there are already lots of questions about their connection: Were the two exes or former coworkers? According to the clip, it's been about 15 years since they've seen one another and their reunion might create a little tension with Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz).
However, this potential love triangle will have to be put on pause because getting Owen back to safety is priority no. 1. "I am going to get my friend," Ben (Jason Winston George) says in the snippet. Viewers also hear Robert say, "Civilian down, no pulse."
After seeing the clip on YouTube, Grey's and Station 19 fans quickly took to the comments section to share their feelings about the upcoming crossover episode. One fan commented: "FINALLY a REAL crossover event that ACTUALLY needs to be watched on both shows! 👀🤯."
While viewers are getting excited about the new back-to-back episodes airing next Thursday, others couldn't help but speculate about what might happen to Owen. A different person wrote: "Hate him or love him but Owen is one of the best complex characters on Grey's and it honestly wouldn’t feel like Grey's without him. So he better not die."
We'll just have to tune in to find out!
