Quarterback Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly Stafford, was left speechless when the L.A. Rams defeated the San Francisco 49ers during the NFC Championship.

On January 30, Kelly was overcome with emotion when Matthew and the Rams earned a spot in the 2022 Super Bowl to play against the Cincinnati Bengals. From the stands, Kelly cheered on her husband while wearing head-to-toe Rams gear, including a letterman jacket. Unbeknownst to her, the cameras caught her memorable reaction at the end of the game when she realized Matt was heading to Super Bowl LVI.

After seeing her response on live TV, Kelly shared the moment on Instagram, in which she is seen hugging a friend and wiping away tears. "But if you werenโ€™t sweating, were you even there? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ #airemout," she captioned the February 6 post.

Upon reliving the moment with Kelly, fans immediately took to the comments section to share that they, too, felt the exact same way. "I was sweating and I wasn't even there! The game was wild ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™," one person wrote. "Oh I was sweating and bawling and screaming uncontrollable, so uh pretty mellow overall ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ," another added.

Others congratulated Matthew through Kelly on his incredible accomplishment. "What a game. That was a nail biter. So happy Matthew is going to [the] Super Bowl," a follower commented. "Canโ€™t wait to watch Stafford play in the super bowl!! Go rams!!!! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ," someone else wrote.

NFL fans have been following Matthew's journey to the Super Bowl since his record-breaking college football career at the University of Georgia. It culminated in 2009 when he was the first overall draft pick for the Detroit Lions. By this point, Matthew had met Kelly at UGA when he was a football player and Kelly was a cheerleader.

Though Kelly is no longer out on the field with Matt, she has made headlines for her past controversial remarks. In 2017, she spoke out against former NFL athlete Colin Kaepernick when he knelt during the national anthem before NFL games to protest racial injustice. In 2020, Kelly apologized for her remarks on Instagram, writing: "I have opened my ears, mind, and heart and it has opened my eyes to see how wrong I was and for that I am sorry."
