It's time to gear up, NFL fans! After an intense season and many weekends dedicated to watching our favorite teams face off, the biggest football game of the year is almost here.

For over half a century, football fans have been celebrating the sport's biggest night — the Super Bowl. And whether it be perfecting Super Bowl party recipes to enjoy during the game or rewatching your favorite 2023 Super Bowl commercials ahead of time, there is plenty to do before taking a seat on the couch and flipping on the TV. Whatever your game day traditions, you can expect a lot of action to take place on — and off — the field this year.

In 2024, fans will be seeing red and yellow all over Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium, as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in this year's Super Bowl. The game is significant for the Chiefs, as this will be their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons, and their second consecutive Super Bowl game. But before we cheer on our favorite players, here’s what you need to know about the 2024 Super Bowl, including where the Super Bowl will be held, who's performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and how to watch the game on TV and streaming.

When and where is the 2024 Super Bowl happening?

The 58th NFL Super Bowl will take place on February 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT and will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Allegiant Stadium.

As the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers go head-to-head for the Super Bowl title this Sunday, we can only imagine the match-up is going to be one that fans and sportscasters alike won't forget. Make sure to grab your favorite Super Bowl snacks and stock up on your beer of choice, so you're ready to see every T-O-U-C-H-D-O-W-N.

Who is performing at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show?

Arguably the biggest televised performance of the year, those watching the 2024 Super Bowl are in for quite a treat. In a surprise announcement made in September 2023, Apple Music announced R&B superstar Usher will take the stage as the performer of the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.

"USHER. LAS VEGAS. APPLE MUSIC HALFTIME SHOW. #SBLVIII," read the official caption on Instagram.

What's more, fans were ecstatic upon learning Usher was the official performer for the halftime show. "This is GENIUS!!!!!!!!" one person exclaimed in the comments. "Pay whoever came up with this concept double xoxo," another replied. "This might be the first half time show I cared about since Super Bowl halftime shows XXXV and XXXVIII ❤️👏🏾," a different follower added.

The news of Usher performing the Super Bowl halftime show comes one year after singer and Fenty Beauty founder Rihanna took the main stage and performed a medley of her greatest hits. She also announced she was pregnant with her second son that night, causing even more of a stir than expected.
