With the official premiere of Virgin River season 5 part 1 officially upon us, it's apparent to everyone how stars Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson have developed great on-camera chemistry (like, really great). So much so, that some people want to know if the two are having their own Jack-and-Mel romantic rendezvous in real life.

At the risk of upsetting some viewers, we probably should let you know right off the bat that Alexandra and Martin are not actually dating. In fact, Alexandra has been happily married for close to a decade to her real-life husband, actor and musician Casey Hooper.

What's interesting is Alexandra's hubby is not only a guitarist for singer and American Idol judge Katy Perry, but the Iowa native even performed during Katy's Super Bowl halftime show in 2015, according to The Des Moines Register. He also spent years traveling the world with the artist and was featured in the documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me.

The story goes that Casey and Alexandra first crossed paths at a 2012 Grammys after-party while they both lived in California and pursued their careers. And the rest, as they say, is history. Alexandra and Casey got engaged in 2014 and later tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony on September 13, 2015 in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.

Today, the couple choose to spend their lives outside of California for a lifestyle more appropriate for the chapter they're currently on. After welcoming their son Jack in 2016 and daughter Billie a year later, the married duo live in what Atlanta Magazine calls "a quiet community just outside Atlanta in a two-story house they’ve made their own."

"The rural areas of Georgia have an amazing sense of community we were lacking in L.A.," Alexandra told Atlanta Magazine. "We wanted our children to grow up in a place where they could play and ride their bikes that didn't feel like a big city."

She expressed just as much excitement about her husband while speaking with Good Housekeeping in January 2018. "Let me also say that my husband is incredible," she gushed at the time about her romance. "I'm a lucky girl!"

So there you have it! As for Martin, he's notoriously private about his love life. He was reported to be dating a woman named Aisha Mendez, with the two even quarantined together in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. But they parted ways sometime in 2021. According to a June article from Hello!, the actor is supposedly in a relationship with an interior designer from New Zealand and tries to keep the relationship off the internet.
